Prime Image Photography is a full-service photography studio serving the greater Pittsburgh area located minutes from the Waterfront in Munhall. We specialize in creative and unique photography for modeling and actors portfolios, portraits, events, fine art, and weddings. PIP has three principal creative partners. Matthew J. Gourley has a diverse photographic background. Beginning in 1985, Matthew has worked in all stages of the photographic process from image capture to production, and has a broad range of experience, including fine art, portfolio development, and event photography, with training through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He taught analog and digital darkroom techniques at the Oakbridge Academy of Arts. Richard R. Schiavoni has developed a broad skill base in digital photography. Starting his photographic career in 2001, he has focused on events, portraiture, and photojournalism in the United States and Europe. In addition to Prime Image Photography, he is a photographer and assistant editor at the Valley Mirror, and is part of the teaching faculty in political science at Point Park University. Finally, Matthew A. Butkus began his photographic career in Vienna, Austria. Based in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he has been shooting fine art and photojournalism since 1996 with training through Pittsburgh Filmmakers, and is an assistant professor of philosophy at McNeese State University. Matthew maintains Aegis Imagery in Lake Charles, but returns to Pittsburgh regularly. Photographs from all three of our photographers are displayed on our portfolio pages.
